Oswego tea features wild oregano, or Oregano De La Sierra as it is known in some parts of the American west, that has a delightful, minty/citrus fragrance. Its spicy taste gives a hint to its power as it has proven to be an effective anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and diaphoretic that made it one of the most popular medicinal herbs for Native American tribes.
It is a traditional remedy used for sore throats and digestive disorders such as gastritis and indigestion.
Our blend also features wild mint and anise hyssop, two other plants known to support the digestive system as well as the respiratory systems.
Of note: Some herbalists use tinctures of wild oregano for yeast infections, urinary infections and cystitis, making it a good substitute for many uses that Oil of Oregano treats.
